Free 24hr Internet, social messaging with new Digi Smart Prepaid plan

DIGI Telecommunication Sdn Bhd has rolled out its new Smart Prepaid plan, which it said gives subscribers constant Internet connectivity and social messaging.
 
The plan, available at RM10 (about US$2.70) inclusive of GST, enables users to enjoy free Internet and social messaging plus unlimited voice calls and SMS to three registered Smart Buddyz, Digi said in a statement.
 
“Many of our prepaid customers want to stay online constantly so we are offering a worry-free Internet experience with zero bill shock,” said Digi head of prepaid Hammad Kabir.
 
“On top of that, we have also created several high-speed Internet add-ons that offer affordability, convenience and flexibility,” he claimed.
 
Digi’s Smart Free Lite Internet lets customers stay connected online 24/7 and is aimed at popular services like Facebook Lite, Google, Twitter and light browsing at mobile-friendly websites.
 
Users can also stay connected around the clock via social apps such as WhatsApp, WeChat, Line and Kakao Talk.
 
Customers can purchase RM1 (daily), RM6 (weekly) or RM16 (monthly) high-speed mobile Internet add-ons that come with unlimited Facebook and social messaging, Digi said in its statement.
 
These add-ons come with 20MB, 150MB and 400MB of Internet quota respectively. In addition, all these plans get free off-peak YouTube streaming quota as a promotional offer.
 
The new Digi Smart Prepaid plan is available at RM 10 and offers RM 16 credit – RM7 is preloaded in the pack while RM9 is given staggered over a three-month period from the second month onward.
