- In-ear fitness tracking linked to app and IP67 rated water protection
JABRA has introduced what it calls its next generation of wireless sports headphones the Elite Sport in Malaysia.
The headphones are specially made to aid sports enthusiasts in their workouts by offering them freedom of movement while providing quality music as they exercise.
An in-ear precision heart rate monitor that integrates with Jabra’s Sport Life app to track and analyse your fitness as well as provide personalised audio coaching is also incorporated.
The app is able to monitor distance covered, pace, route, calories burnt and training effect. The idea is that with this collected data, users can improve their fitness regime over time.
In this day and age when work is sure to catch up no matter how hard we run, the Jabra Elite Sport still keeps you contactable with support for iOS and Android devices via Bluetooth.
With two built-in microphones in each earbud, Jabra says they are designed to pick up your voice and candle out external noise to ensure crystal clear call quality.
The Elite Sport even provides in-ear coaching that lets users follow a planned workout designed for different intensities to match one’s fitness level. According to Jabra, the Elite Sport doesn’t just detect cardio workouts but also cross training exercises that include push-ups, dips and other physical activities.
Come rain or shine, the Elite Sport is ready for anything as it is IP67 rated so it is protected from water and sweat.
The wireless headphones come with a battery that delivers 3 hours of playtime and is charged with a portable charging case. Jabra says a quick 20-minute charge should grant the headphones one hour of listening time.
Exercising while on the go? The Elite Sport’s HearThrough technology allows the in-ear speakers to recreate ambient sounds to help users be aware of their surroundings while working out.
The Jabra Elite Sport, priced at US$295 (RM1,259) is now available at all leading offline IT stores and online via its exclusive e-commerce partner Lazada.
The headphone was launched in Singapore in late 2016 and retailed at US$267 (S$368).
