Nubia enters the Indonesian market

 

NUBIA, the China based smartphone brand with mobile photography expertise, on April 26 launched three products for the Indonesia market and announced the setting up of PT Nubia Technology Indonesia (nubia).

The nubia M2, M2 lite and N1 lite all made their debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in Barcelona and are now available in Indonesia.

The nubia M2 dual-camera phone is equipped with a NeoVision powered 16-megapixel front camera with a f/2.0 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens. Its dual Image Signal Processor (ISP) can calculate contrast and up to a 10-level depth of field in a snap, as well as focus in 0.1 seconds with the Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) feature.

The 13-megapixel dual rear cameras comes with f/2.2 aperture as well as a sapphire glass lens with monochrome and RGB sensors.

Photos can be adjusted for F0.8-F10 aperture effects through an internal merging algorithm, which combines the colours taken by the RGB sensor with the details captured by the monochrome sensor. All of the focusing, depth of field and previewing can be done in real-time and adjusted further after photo taking.

The 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass equipped phone also features a 3D noise reduction algorithm to create the best possible shots even in low-light conditions.

The nubia M2 is equipped with a diamond-cut metallic black-gold frame which is only 7mm thick and the nubiArc design fit the hand comfortably with its 2.5D curved screen glass.

The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) octa-core 64 bit processor, an Adreno 506 GPU, fingerprint recognition, 4GB RAM memory and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded to 200GB. It runs on nubia UI 4 and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The dual-SIM phone is powered by a 3630mAh battery with NeoCharge that is said to allow the phone to charge five time faster and NeoPower that is said to make the battery last for 2.54 days.

Nubia enters the Indonesian market

 

The nubia M2 lite features 2.5D glass, a 5.5-inch full HD (720x1280 pixels) screen with a metal unibody, dual-diamond cut borders and is 7.68mm thick.

With the M2 lite's 16-megapixel ISOCELL CMOS front camera, users can take selfies with ease. It has an f/2.0 aperture for sharp pictures even in low light, and a 79.8-degree wide-angle lens.

The 13-megapixel rear camera has an f/2.2 aperture and high transparency organic glass lens along with a five-piece motor drive lens.

Both cameras are equipped with NeoVision 6.0, a customised photography technology edition for the M2 lite which enables a strong multifunctional camera.

Behind the screen lies an octa-core (MT6750) 64-bit processor, big.Little architecture for powerful energy efficiency, fingerprint recognition, dual-sim, 3GB RAM storage and 64GB internal storage, with up to 128GB of external storage. It runs on nubia UI 4.0 and Android 7.0.

The 3000mAh battery in the M2 lite is improved by NeoPower 2.5 technology that adapts to different user scenarios, directing just the right amount of apps when they need it.

nubia N1 lite’s screen is engineered with 2.5D curved glass featuring dynamic contrast and adaptive brightness to deliver visibility even in direct sunlight.

With its textured coating and inward-sloping sides, the phone sits comfortably in the user’s palm. The rear-mounted ‘unipanel’, comprises of a fingerprint sensor and rear-facing camera.

In addition to the exterior, nubia has equipped the N1 lite with the soft-light LED front flash and beautification mode, which is available for both front and rear cameras along with NeoVision 6.0 technology.

The 8-megapixel rear camera’s f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash help deliver high-definition photos, even in low-light and night time scenarios. The 5-megapixel front camera comes with f/2.8 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens.

The N1 lite comes with 0.3s fingerprint recognition function for rapid response, enabling seamless locking and unlocking of the phone, internal apps and files.

nubia N1 lite has a quad-core 4xA53 1.3Hz processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and expansion up to 32GB, 5.5 inch full HD (720x1280 pixels) screen with 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0.

Nubia N1 is available in black-gold for 1.7 million rupiah (US$127).

Availability

Headquartered in China, nubia now has operations in the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia (SEA) including Indonesia, Thailand, and India.

The phones launched in Indonesia will be available for sale only at Nubia Store (http://www.nubia.com/id/) and Lazada.co.id. They will be open for pre-orders from May 12 to 22.

“The reason why we set the sale for online only is because we want to deliver value and test the market here in Indonesia,” Qu says.

Every nubia product will come with a one-year warranty from nubia Indonesia. Forty-four nubia services centre have been established throughout Indonesia.
