Realme launches in Indonesia

 

SMARTPHONE brand Realme, entered Southeast Asia (SEA) by launching its Realme 2 Series (Realme 2 and Realme 2 Pro) and Realme C1 in Indonesia.

Founded in May 2018, Realme was created to deliver the performance and design needed by young people in a smartphone.

Realme Southeast Asia marketing director Josef Wang (pic, above) said the the launch of Realme in Indonesia is a new chapter for the company to become a game changer in the global smartphone industry.

“We are ready to eliminate boundaries and set new quality standards in the Indonesian smartphone industry. We define it as ‘Power Meets Style’, where we focus on providing products with the latest innovations that come with strong performance.”

Having first launched in India, Realme has sold one million units to date, and the company is planning to launch its products at Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines soon.

 

Realme launches in Indonesia

 

Realme 2 has a 6.2-inch screen size, and a screen-to-body ratio of 88.8%. Made from 2.5D nano-sized composite material, the Realme 2 rear casing produces a light and shadow diamond-like effect.

The rear camera has a dual-camera 13MP + 2MP configuration with optimised portrait mode and natural ‘bokeh’ background, and 8MP front camera. It also equipped with ‘AI Beauty 2.0’ algorithm to identify 296 face recognition points.

It comes with 4230mAh battery and AI Power Manager to provide battery life of 44 hours and offers two options for memory, 3GB RAM + 32GB memory & 4GB RAM + 64GB memory (expandable).

Realme 2 presents itself in three colours, Red diamond, Blue diamond, and Black diamond. It will be available at Lazada on October 16 for 1,999,000 rupiah (US$129) (3GB+32GB) and 2,399,000 rupiah (US$155) (4GB+64GB).

 

Realme launches in Indonesia

 

Realme 2 Pro comes with a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8%, produces the same comfort as holding a 5.5-inch conventional smartphone with a 16: 9 screen ratio and ‘dew drop’ design.

The rear casing is coated with 13 to 15 atomic layers which provide depth, transparency, and high detail. It has a pattern that matches the centre of the palm, and provides a glass-like effect.

It comes with a 16MP dual rear camera configuration equipped with a Sony IMX398 sensor with dual focus, F1.7 aperture and 6P lens while the secondary camera is responsible for measuring the spatial distance of objects photographed in portrait mode. And also comes with a 16MP front camera and an F2.0 aperture that is able to capture more light.

It features a 660AIE Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that has high performance with low power consumption, GPU Adreno 512, and Qualcomm All-Ways Aware ™ and HVX sensor hubs, as well as built-in AI technology.

Realme 2 Pro carries the operating system Color OS 8.1 based on Android 8.1 5.2 AI which comes with better basic features. It is equipped with 3,500mAH battery and  ‘Game Space’ that is designed to provide an excellent playing experience, integrated security features, smart driving, AI Board, Google Assistant, Smart Scan, Smart Drive, and others that utilise AI technology.

The device comes in three colours, Black Sea, Icy Lake, and Blue Ocean. It will be available at Lazada on October 23 with price range from 2,899,000 rupiah (US$188) (4GB+64GB), 3,299,000 rupiah (US$214) (6GB+64GB) and 3,699,000 rupiah (US$240) (8GB+128GB).

 

Realme launches in Indonesia

 

C1 Realme is a product under the entry level smartphone range. It comes with a 6.2-inch ‘Mega Display’ screen, Full HD 1080p display and a screen ratio of up to 88%.

Its specification is also supported by ‘Mega Battery’ which has a capacity of 4230 mAh which can be used for up to 18 hours to listen to music with a Wi-Fi connection and play videos for 15 hours or play games for up to 10 hours.

C1 Realme also comes with a modern design that has an outer panel coated with 12 layers of Corning Gorilla Glass with nano material as its protector, and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa-core processor that can accelerate device graphics performance by up to 25% and can save power up to 35%.

It has 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera and a 5MP front camera with memory of 2GB+16GB (expandable) and available in blue and black colours.

Realme C1 will be available at Lazada on October 30 for 1,399,000 rupiah (US$90) during ’11.11’ and 1,499,000 rupiah (US$97) for normal price.
