Lenovo’s range of Yoga PCs have always been about flexibility. This usually refers to its time-tested design where the touchscreen display has hinges that allows it to flip around, allowing users to utilise it in different ways.
Lenovo has taken things a notch further with the new Yoga releases – the Yoga Slim 7i and the Yoga Duet 7i – which are now available in Malaysia. Not only are these slimmer and more portable devices, the Duet 7i in particular is a 2-in-1 computer where the screen can be detachable from the Bluetooth keyboard, making it more versatile than ever before.
Both of them come with an array of smart features, including facial login via the infrared camera that is powered by Windows Hello. A presence-sensing feature from Glance by Mirametrix will do things like pause a video when you walk away. This duo of laptops are also optimised by AI to extend its battery (by 20%, according to Lenovo) when the balanced middle setting is enabled.
The 14-inch Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i doesn’t have a detachable screen, but you can opt for a textured fabric cover to add a bit of class. The laptop is powered by 10th Gen Intel Core processors, an NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU, up to 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.
To top it off, it features Dolby Atmos Speaker System that face upwards towards the user for a more immersive listening experience. It also has an adjustable Smart Battery that transitions capability based on usage behaviour, temperature, and whether the device is plugged-in.
The 14-inch Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i is now available at all Lenovo exclusive stores nationwide and authorised online retailers on Lazada and Shopee. It prices from US$1,224 (RM5,099).
More versatility
The Duet 7i, on the other hand, features a 13-inch IPS 2K touchscreen display (with 100% sRGB, according to Lenovo) at 450 nits brightness. You can, as mentioned, detach it from the Bluetooth keyboard, which can still be usable away from the screen as well. There’s a kickstand at the back of the display, adding more versatility to how and when you want to use it.
The device features up to 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor and comes with a digital pen. What’s more interesting is the optional Lenovo E-Colour Pen, which has a built-in sensor allowing users to pick up colours from guides or real-life object by simply touch the object’s surface with the pen’s tip while pressing down.
Essentially, you can more easily grab colour from examples around you. The pen works with your usual range of design apps, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
The Lenovo Yoga Duet 7i prices from RM4,599 on the Lenovo Malaysia official website. It goes cheaper, however, on Lenovo exclusive stores nationwide as well as authorised online retailers Lazada and Shopee, where it prices from RM4,099 instead.
