- Monthly instalment from US$9.50 via U Mobile’s Unlimited HERO P139 plan
- Purchase via P139 nets 24 month free GoInsure 3 PA plan, with Covid-19 coverage
Apple’s new iPhone SE is set to arrive in Malaysia soon! The more affordable iPhone will be available for purchase from all physical and online U Mobile stores later this week.
As usual, going with a telco gives you access to different financing options as well as a few perks. U Mobile will be offering customers through two different plan bundles, as well as device instalment plans.
For starters, customers can purchase the 64GB version of the iPhone SE with the Unlimited HERO P139 plan, which entitles them savings of US$346 (RM1,500) – U Mobile’s subsidised retail price of the device is US$145 (RM499), while the recommended retail price is at US$460 (RM1,999).

With Unlimited HERO P139 (it costs RM139 monthly), the monthly instalment for the iPhone SE can go as low as RM41, making total monthly payments at RM180 (there is a total payable of RM540 upon registration, however).
For those not wanting to commit to a higher mobile plan, they can opt to get the device with the Unlimited HERO P99 plan, which costs RM99 monthly for the plan and pricing the device instalment from RM54 monthly (you pay RM153 in total per month).
It’s worth noting that the iPhone SE with the Unlimited HERO P139 plan comes with free 24 months of GoInsure 3, a Personal Accident (PA) insurance product with COVID-19 coverage (the P99 plan comes with only one month free).
Total value of benefits of GoInsure 3 is worth up to RM13,000. Registration for the free GoInsure 3 coverage will begin on 22 May 2020. Eligible customers who purchase the new iPhone SE before that date will receive an SMS notification to register on 22 May 2020.
The iPhone SE is Apple’s latest iPhone, designed to be more affordable and accessible. While it lacks the triple-camera setup as well as the larger screens of the iPhone 11 devices, the iPhone SE nonetheless runs on the A13 Bionic chip (featured in the iPhone 11 Pro), so it’s no slouch when it comes to performance.
