Upsize your phone without bursting your budget

HTC unveiled two new phones: the HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+ that are bigger in everyway without breaking the bank.

The two phones are similar but yet different in their own unique ways, with the HTC Desire 12 sporting a 5.5-inch screen while the HTC Desire 12+ has a larger 6-inch screen. They both share HD+ resolution IPS LCD screens with a 720 x 1,440 resolution. Despite that both are slim and comfortable to hold with their 18:9 edge-to-edge screens.

With a bigger screen, expect a richer experience watching YouTube, gaming and more immersive movies. The bigger and better viewing experience lets you enjoy the things you love while the swipe anywhere feature keeps everything you need just a thumb tap away.

Underneath the hood, the two devices are quite different. The HTC Desire 12 is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage  while, the HTC Desire 12+ keeps it up with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Both are able to expand up to 2TB via a microSD card.

Battery-wise the HTC Desire 12+ has a slightly larger 2,965mAh battery while the HTC Desire 12 has a 2,730mAh battery.

At the same time the 13-Megapixel main camera on the rear, with Phase Detection Autofocus, is ever ready to go be it capturing vivid, photos during the day or night. The HTC Desire 12+ even offers dual cameras that let you refocus a shot even after you have taken it.

Meanwhile HTC's Sense Companion is an add on feature to the phone that aims to help get you organised with Smart Alarms that correspond with your calendar while Battery Saver reminds you to keep the phone charged before you leave your home. Performance enhancements are also present to help clear junk files and free up valuable space.

Paying homage to the U11 series' exquisite Liquid Surface, the HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+ incorporate a durable acrylic glass back surface with a new streamlined look. The seamless frame and curved edges add a luxurious feel while the dynamic colours add to one's unique style.

The HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+ will be available in Warm Silver and Cool Black in April 2018 at US$190 (RM739) and US$231 (RM899) respectively.  For more information visit HTC's website.
