DURING the recent Mi Fan Festival (MFF) in Malaysia, Xiaomi Malaysia has announced the local launch of the Mi 11 Ultra smartphone and the Mi Smart Band 6 fitness tracker.
The Mi 11 Ultra is the premium entry in Xiaomi’s flagship line, and touted as a pocked-sized film studio. It notably marks the debut of the Samsung GN2 large camera sensor, and features a triple-camera array in which all three its lenses support 8K 24fps vdeo.
There’s also a 1:1 AMOLED display on the camera bump for taking selfies. And there’s a 20MP front camera housed in the screen’s punch-hole.
It features a 120Hz quad-curved DotDisplay in WQHD+ resolution. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 888 chipset, which goes alongside 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Mi 11 Ultra sports a 5,000mAh battery, and features 67W wired and wireless turbo charging.
At US$1,039 (RM4,299), the Mi 11 Ultra is the most expensive Xiaomi device available in Malaysia right now. Pre-orders have begun and will be available for purchases at official Xiaomi stores on Lazada and Shopee, as well at Authorised Mi Stores nationwide.

The MFF event also saw the release of the latest iteration of Xiaomi’s fitness trackers. The Mi Smart Band 6 features a 1.56-inch touch display, which is 50% larger than its predecessor. It has 30 fitness mode options (double the amount of the Mi Smart Band 5) on top of auto-detection for six common fitness activities.
It also incorporates an array of health functions, including SpO2 measurement, heart rate monitoring and enhanced sleep tracking functions.
The Mi Smart Band 6 will be available in Malaysia April 15 for RM189.
