e-Lock and HeiTech Managed Services in strategic partnership

ENTERPRISE security solutions provider e-Lock Corporation Sdn Bhd has announced a strategic partnership with HeiTech Managed Services Sdn Bhd (HMS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of HeiTech Padu Bhd, to address enterprise customers’ concerns regarding data integrity in cloud computing and self-hosted environments.
HMS will now offer e-Lock Corporation’s WebAlarm real-time file integrity monitoring software solution as part of its AwanHeiTech cloud computing services, webhosting and data centre service packages targeted at enterprises throughout Malaysia.
Companies’ data and file integrity needs to be monitored continuously and diligently because inaccurate, corrupted, missing and/ or tampered data jeopardise their business reputation, e-Lock Corporation said in a statement.
These situations could also contribute to loss of customers’ trust, as well as financial and potentially business opportunity losses. Organisations doing business on the Internet have a need to implement a trusted solution to protect their electronic data, it added.
“Developed in Malaysia, the WebAlarm data integrity software is capable of providing real-time and continuous protection whether on the cloud or in self-hosted environments,” said e-Lock Corporation founder and chief executive officer Dr Ken Leong (pic).
“The partnership with HMS is significant to help accelerate market adoption of our WebAlarm among enterprises including government-linked companies (GLCs) in Malaysia,” he added.
WebAlarm has been implemented by by enterprises in Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan and China, e-Lock Corporation said.
It continuously monitors and protects files and folders to detect any unauthorised change. The company claims it also delivers “unparalleled total cost of ownership” which enables companies to meet both their budget and compliance needs without requiring special hardware or skill sets.
WebAlarm scans each file at bit level to check for its existence, integrity and access permissions. Other key features of WebAlarm are: Policy Violation Alerts; Automatic Recovery; Audit & Evidence Preservation; and, Secured Change Control & Automated Update Management.

Established in 1996, e-Lock Corporation provides solutions for protection against Identity theft, advanced cyber-attacks, threats to file and data integrity. Another of its products is TheGRID, two-factor authentication.
