EY appoints forensics head in Singapore

PROFESSIONAL services organiation EY has appointed Reuben Khoo (pic) as an EY partner and head of Forensics Technology and Discovery Services in Asia Pacific.
In this role, he will be responsible for growing the technology-based fraud and investigation business focusing on IT Forensics, e-Discovery, Forensic Data Analytics and Cyber Security in the region, EY said in a statement.
Khoo has close to 30 years of experience in consulting and technology working with clients in various industries, especially in Asia Pacific.
He is an industry heavyweight in the data analytics space and a recognised leader in technology and consulting, EY claimed.
He specializes in enterprise intelligence, data management, visualisation, as well as analytics around anti-fraud, anti-money laundering and financial crime.
Khoo graduated with a BSc degree in Business and a minor in Computer Science, and an MBA (Financial Management) from the University of Wisconsin in the United States.
Prior to his graduate studies, he was also a financial futures trader dealing in the Chicago Board of Trades & Tokyo Commodity Exchange.
His appointment comes in the midst of the expansion of EY’s fraud investigation and dispute services (FIDS) practice in Singapore and the region, which has tripled in strength over the last four years and is set to continue to double in the next two years.
