iProperty in exclusive partnership with Rotterdam’s Floorplanner.com

  • New tool allows property buyers to generate floor plans of their listing in either 2D or 3D
  • Floor plans can be created with just a few clicks and filled with details using library of objects

iProperty in exclusive partnership with Rotterdam’s Floorplanner.comTHE iProperty Group, which operates a network of property portals in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, said it has formed an exclusive partnership with Rotterdam-based Floorplanner.com.

To be featured across the iProperty Group’s network of property portals, Floorplanner.com, a leading online floor planning application tool, will allow property buyers to generate floor plans of their listing in either 2D or 3D, iProperty said in a statement.

iProperty Group chief executive officer Shaun Di Gregorio said the partnership was in line with the Group’s strong focus in providing consumers a unique offering. Terms were not disclosed.

“… The partnership with Floorplanner.com will allow us to take the products and services that we currently offer our consumers to a whole new level. The advancements of technological opportunities call for new ways of presenting and showcasing property,” he said.

He added that Floorplanner would be a great tool for property buyers as they often wonder if the property they like will cater to their needs and whether renovating it will produce the results they desire.

“It truly is a compelling interactive tool as floor plans can be viewed directly on each of the portals that we own and operate. Property buyers can draw and design their floor plans themselves. They can renovate and furnish the floor plan according to their own preference and taste.

“The tools provided are easy and fun to use and we believe that property buyers will have fun illustrating their vision on how their desired home should look like,” claimed Di Gregorio.

He added that the partnership was an important component of the iProperty Group’s strategy to capitalize on the rapid growth of the business, and to solidify its position as a leader in the exploding and rapidly growing property industry.

“We see tremendous value in this partnership. We know that purchasing a home is one of the biggest investments they will ever make and with Floorplanner, they are now not only able to find their dream home, but now personally design the interior of their home virtually,” he said.

Jeroen Bekkers, chief executive officer of Floorplanner.com, said, “I believe that our unique offering, combined with the iProperty Group’s extensive brand presence, we will be able to take our business to the next level.”

He said that floor plans can be created with just a few clicks and filled with details using Floorplanner's library of objects. Everything can be resized, rotated and reshaped as desired. These floorplans can be published online or exported offline.

According to Di Gregorio, Floorplanner, which is made available for free, is targeted to be officially launched in February this year.

Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, the iProperty Group is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur. Along with 18 property websites across the region, the Group’s portfolio also includes the regional commercial property website, CommercialAsia.com, as well as a regional property exhibition business and monthly property magazines in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Floorplanner.com was formed in 2007, with offices in Rotterdam and London, and now claims over five million registered users across the world.
