TECH media and events platform e27 has just about finalised the speakers, agenda and startups which will get to pitch at Echelon 2013, promising this year’s event would be its best yet.
The two-day technology and business event is expected to attract investors, startups and business and technology leaders from the Asia Pacific region, and will take place June 4-5 at the Singapore Expo MAX Atria, e27 said in a statement.
Keynote speakers at Echelon 2013 include investor Dave McClure, founding partner at 500 Startups, who has invested in over 250 companies. Another keynote speaker, Sahil Lavingia, founder of Gumroad, raised US$8.1 million when he was 20 years old and has also worked on user experience at Pinterest, a curation platform that now boasts over 25 million users worldwide, and still using his design implementations.
“We’ve been organising Echelon for the past four years, and this is our best yet,” said Mohan Belani (pic), e27 chief executive officer and co-founder.
“The calibre of speakers and panellists we’ve invited, and the quality of the startups that are exhibiting and pitching, reveal a huge groundswell of interest, excitement and opportunity for tech businesses in South-East Asia.
“It is our vision at e27 and in organising Echelon 2013 that this region is given the platform it deserves to find global success in Asia’s emerging knowledge-based economy,” he added.
With over 50 speakers and judges flying in from around the world, the keynotes and panel discussions at Echelon 2013 promise to be informative and business-changing sessions that will inspire both aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs as well as seasoned investors, e27 claimed.
