Singapore-based goSwiff beefs up management team

SINGAPORE-headquartered mobile commerce company goSwiff said it is now present in five continents and has beefed up its management team as it gears up for a busy 2015.

The global mobile payment market is booming, the company said in a statement. Gartner suggests that mobile payment volumes in 2017 will be US$721 billion, while Timetric states even higher total volumes of US$1.1 trillion.

From 2015 onwards, goSwiff said it will hold operations across Africa, the Americas, Asia Pacific, EME (East Europe, Russia, the CIS and the Middle East), and Europe.

In order to succeed in these regions, it said it has reinforced its global leadership team of regional executives.

“We are reinforcing our leadership team to provide to banks, mobile network operators and other partners the best level of regional and industry experience and value that they are entitled to,” said chief executive officer Simone Ranucci Brandimarte.

“Our goal is to grow both our clients’ businesses and the quality and quantity of transactions, and now with our new management team members on board, we are well geared for that.”

Stefano Diemmi has been head of Europe and Consumer Products since October 2014, bringing with him a wealth of experience in a broad range of areas in the m-commerce sector, from startup management, product development and user experience to effective team building in multichannel, multicultural businesses, goSwiff said.

Svyatoslav Garal took on the role of head of EME in December 2014, and will be key to seizing the opportunities in this rapidly growing region, the company said. He has nearly a decade of experience in the payment and retail banking industries.

Alyson Grosshandler joined goSwiff in January as vice president of business development and will strengthen the Asia Pacific team, goSwiff said. Her track record includes more than 15 years of management, marketing and business development roles, specialising in the payments and retail sectors.
