INDIAN webhosting provider ZNetLive has signed a partnership with Dropmysite Pte Ltd that will expand the presence of the Singapore-headquartered startup’s cloud backup products in the subcontinent.
With the increasing importance of e-commerce in India, protecting and backing up websites and databases have become critical for businesses, Dropmysite said in a statement.
“Dropmysite … lets website owners back up that entire website and database in the cloud and allows them to quickly restore their services in an unfortunate case of downtime,” said ZNetLive founder and chief executive officer Munesh Jadoun.
“A product as useful and in-demand as Dropmysite lets webhosting providers like ZNetLive cater to the needs of end customers and helps us refine our service portfolio and make it wholesome,” he added.
ZNetLive will resell Dropmysite as a value-added service. This strategic alliance will see ZNetLive providing this backup service to its server and domain hosting customers.
With Dropmysite also available in Hindi, it will be easy for Indian users to adopt the website backup service, Dropmysite claimed.
“With millions of sites getting hacked yearly, Dropmysite solves a real problem in backing up websites and databases,” said Dropmysite chief executive officer Charif El-Ansari (pic).
“Fuelled by an increasing Internet penetration, the webhosting industry continues to grow exponentially in India. We are delighted to have this strategic partnership with ZNetLive, a partner which is always ahead of the curve and always thinking of further improving its customer experience,” he added.
Besides ZNetLive, Dropmysite said it is also speaking with other companies to create unique partnerships to further entrench itself in the Indian market. These companies range from Internet service providers to mobile companies.
These opportunities will open doors for Dropmysite to further expand its email backup and mobile backup products in India, the company said.
