TradeGecko integrates with eBay’s Magento e-commerce platform

SINGAPORE-based inventory management provider TradeGecko said it has integrated its solution with Magento, which claims to have 200,000 businesses on its e-commerce platform.

TradeGecko offers a cloud-based inventory and sales management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Los Angeles-based Magento develops an open source content management system for e-commerce websites and is wholly-owned by online auction giant eBay Inc.

With this integration, TradeGecko said in a statement that it would now automate round-the-clock management of inventory for Magento shopfronts.

Projected to hit US$1.5 trillion in revenue for 2014 alone, business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce is one of the world’s fastest growing industries, TradeGecko said, citing an eMarketer report.

“E-commerce is a unique business that never sleeps, and Magento store owners have often shared with us their frustrations about the lack of an efficient inventory management solution,” said TradeGecko chief executive officer and cofounder Cameron Priest.

“We’re thus delighted to announce TradeGecko’s powerful Magento integration, allowing businesses to say goodbye to their inventory management woes, once and for all,” he added.

Directly addressing several inventory management requests from consumers, TradeGecko’s Magento integration is perfect for wholesalers and multi-channel retailers in particular, the company claimed.

The integration provides for the overview and management of inventory by allowing businesses to keep stock levels in-sync and up-to-date, all in real-time, it added.

The new integration automatically pulls Magento order data directly into businesses’ TradeGecko accounts, inclusive of key customer relationship management data such as contact details and addresses, alongside the ability to publish inventory and their respective variants in TradeGecko straight to Magento.

These are all in addition to existing TradeGecko features such as tax types, multi-currency, re-ordering and analytics among others.
