GameFounders accelerator program for Spring 2017 now open

WANT to meet game executives from Blizzard to EA? Talk to marketing gurus from Ketchapp to Rovio? Learn the inner working of Unity and Steam? The best ten teams get to learn from these industry giants, tap into a massive mentorship network and acquire some seed funding.

All game studios around the world can apply at gamefounders.com until November 15, 2016. The main criteria of the evaluation are the team composition, their vision and the quality of work the team can produce.

The selected studios will have access to over 150 gaming mentors and partners from the best studios in the world. On top of that, GameFounders will provide a seed capital of US$25,000 in exchange for a moderate share of equity. Since 2012, GameFounders has invested into 60 talented game studios from 26 countries.

Formed in early 2012, GameFounders is a global startup accelerator purely focused on game development. It offers young game companies high-level mentors, partnership deals and a global contact network as well as start-up capital. GameFounders Asia was launched in 2015 in alliance with the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).

The shortlisted teams are expected to have a beta version, prototype or slice of the game and be ready to set up a business. The upcoming 3-month cycle, the seventh for GameFounders, takes off in January 2017 in the dynamic city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The top game mentors who will be working with the teams are also the ones shortlisting the final lineup.
