Kakitangan raises undisclosed Series A funding from OSK Ventures International

In its latest funding round, Kakitangan.com has secured an undisclosed Series A investment from OSK Ventures International Bhd (OSKVI). Prior to this round, Kakitangan.com secured funding through ECF (Equity Crowd Funding) via crowdfunding platform pitchIN in 2016, and followed by a 2018 round which saw BFM Media come on board as an investor and strategic partner.

The capital injection from OSKVI will enable Kakitangan.com to increase its expansion across Malaysia and focus on further developing its cloud-based software. Kakitangan claims it to be one of the fastest growing HR Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) systems in Malaysia, being the preferred online personnel administration and payroll solution among SMEs.

By having access to data and fulfill their HR requirements accurately, decision makers are able to focus on making timely choices for their businesses.”

Constant product updates that incorporate Kakitangan customer feedback also have a positive impact on Kakitangan's customer retention rates, and we see Kakitangan increasing its product and service lead in this segment."

Enter the HR Sifu plaform for SMEs

Enhancing its product portfolio is the launch of its all-new online HR advisory service, HR Sifu, last month. The add-on service is currently available to all new and existing users of Kakitangan.com at no charge until 31 December 2022.

HR Sifu Platform is an all-in-one HR advisory service tailored for SMEs covering a wide range of HR aspects including work permit application for expatriates, industrial relations, and payroll technicalities related to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), Employment Insurance System (EIS), and the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN). The new HR Sifu service is already helping many SMEs across Malaysia to further unlock the potential of their people operations for greater effectiveness and efficiency.

In-line with its tagline, “Do Payroll go Kakitangan.com”, the cloud-based HR platform automates and digitalises HR services as the corporate functions landscape sees a dramatic shift towards digital business transformation post Covid-19.

Kakitangan customers will have the ability to book up to four online advisory slots every month where they can interact with HR experts on a broad spectrum of HR matters. “It can be anything related to work permit for foreign talents, industrial relations, retail industry, HR technology, and digitalisation,” says Effon. New features will be progressively added over time.

“We are committed and will continue to invest in new services and solutions to support the growth of our SME customers within our core expertise of payroll and HR,” says Effon.
