myTukar, Daihatsu to enhance used car selling process

In a statement, the digital used car platform said the partnership myTukar will facilitate a smooth experience for all Daihatsu customers to sell their used cars. 

Derrick Eng, CEO of myTukar said the collaboration will leverage myTukar's proprietary technology-enabled platform to speed up the selling process of used cars for all Daihatsu Malaysia Group customers. 

“With this partnership, we want to provide Daihatsu Malaysia Group customers a one-stop platform to sell their old cars and get a new one in return, instantly and transparently,” he said. 

The partnership is anticipated to positively impact between 300 and 500 customers monthly, he claimed.

Moving forward, the company said myTukar will be a trade-in partner for Daihatsu Malaysia Group, whose partners and customers will now get to enjoy and experience a hassle-free process in selling their cars.

This experience will cover inspection services, collection, settlement and a quicker, smoother payment process, it added.

“This partnership will kick start a new phase for the brand, as the enhancement of the purchasing journey is set to boost the sales of new car purchases under Daihatsu Malaysia Group,” said Eng.

Additionally, myTukar will also be supplying certified inspectors to perform on-demand vehicle inspection for Daihatsu Malaysia Group customers, he added.

Arman Mahadi, managing director of Daihatsu Malaysia Group said the company is excited to be part of this effort by myTukar to enhance new car buying experiences for its customers. 

“With myTukar’s comprehensive and intuitive platform, customers with a used car that are looking to sell it and buy a new vehicle within our group will find the process to be smooth sailing,” he said

myTukar said this enhancement to the used car purchasing process will create strong remarketing channels that will maximise trade-in value, directly increasing profitability. 

As a result of strengthening the remarketing channels, the purchasing process is set to become more transparent, opening more digital channels for the sales process of both new and used cars, for all MBMR automotive brands, myTukar claimed.
