Recommend collaborates with Sunway Pals in Malaysia

• Sunway Pals members able to redeem services on Recommend.my
• Loyalty points can be collected by using other services on the platform

REGIONAL on-demand service platform Recommend.my has announced a collaboration with Sunway Pals Loyalty Sdn Bhd, a loyalty programme that is part of Malaysian conglomerate Sunway Group. Headquartered in Malaysia, Recommend’s Malaysian operations is a leading home services business while Sunway Pals is a fast growing loyalty programme with around 570,000 members at present.

Sunway Pals allows members to enjoy a range of discounts, rebates, point redemptions and other special privileges when they spend at participating merchants, including those in Sunway establishments such as Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity Mall, Sunway Carnival Mall, Sunway Giza Mall, Sunway Nexis, and Sunway Putra Mall.

This collaboration allows Sunway Pals members to earn or exchange their points for services on Recommend.my. The redeemable services available to date are carpet cleaning, sofa/mattress cleaning, home cleaning, air-conditioner servicing, makeup services, catering services, made-to-order cakes, photography, videography, domestic movers, home maintenance, home improvement, events and wedding services

These services will be carried out by one of over 10,000 verified service professionals listed on Recommend.my. Sunway Pals members also are rewarded Pals Points when they book and pay for other services on Recommend.my – 100 points for every RM1 spent – giving them an opportunity to accumulate even more points.

Jes Min reveals that Recommend saw about US$12,819 (RM50,000) worth of transactions from the collaboration within two weeks of its launch. Recommend and Sunway Pals expect this number to reach hundreds of ringgit per month soon.

“We also estimate that if you use all your points from buying a Sunway house, you can clean you house for free for a year,” says Jes Min.

Recommend, which currently serves about 300,000 customers through a network of about 30,000 service professionals, operates Recommend.my in Malaysia, Sejasa.com in Indonesia, Helpdee.com in Thailand and Recommend.sg in Singapore

Recommend also started a partnership with another Malaysian real estate developer Mah Sing Group in November last year where the platform provides templated and customisable interior design packages to buyers of a specific residential development.
