Sales of wearable electronic devices will generate revenue of US$28.7 billion in 2016. Of that, US$11.5 billion will be from smartwatches.

By 2017, mobile apps will be downloaded more than 268 billion times, generating revenue of more than US$77 billion and making them one of the most popular computing tools for users across the globe, according to Gartner Inc.
102 billion downloads from app stores this year: Gartner
Mobile app stores will see annual downloads reach 102 billion in 2013, up from 64 billion in 2012, according to Gartner Inc. Total revenue in 2013 will reach US$26 billion, up from US$18 billion in 2012.
