Microsoft has announced the availability of the Windows Upgrade Offer for consumers purchasing a new Windows 7 PC, where they have the option to purchase a downloadable upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for an estimated retail price of US$14.99. In Malaysia, the company also announced that SMB customers who upgrade to Windows 7 on Open License with Software Assurance will enjoy a 30% discount.
