Emerson opens SEA Customer Experience Centre in Singapore

EMERSON Network Power, a business of Emerson, has announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art Customer Experience Centre in Singapore, which will serve as the regional hub for data centre planning and validation.
 
Each customer will have a unique experience based on their data centre needs, supported by Emerson’s technical and service experts, the company said in a statement.
 
The Customer Experience Centre reflects Emerson Network Power’s ongoing commitment to enable business-critical continuity in light of the increasingly evolving information communication and technology (ICT) landscape, it added.
 
The facility is purpose built not only to address the most common data centre challenges, but also to give customers the opportunity to experience the most advanced technology available to enable them to respond to future business challenges.
 
“For more than a century, Emerson has brought technology and engineering together to provide innovative solutions for its customers,” said Anand Sanghi, president of Emerson Network Power in Asia.
 
“This philosophy is applied in the Customer Experience Centre, which our customers can visit to experience our leading solutions for data centres, big or small.
 
“Think of the centre as a mini lab where our customers can touch, see and feel our integrated solutions. It is a place where we can provide them with a holistic view of all the biggest challenges that they find in their businesses, and how our solutions address these challenges.
 
“It really gives us an ability to provide real-time insights into power, space and cooling, to manage capacity, reduce risk, and optimise performance,” he added.
 
The facility itself is divided into two main areas: the Network Operating Centre and the main Data Centre facility.
 
At the Network Operating Centre, customers can witness a live demonstration of the Trellis platform, Emerson’s DCIM (data centre infrastructure management) solution that provides real-time visibility into data centre performance.
 
The main data centre facility features the SmartAisle solution, an intelligent row-based system that integrates data centre racks, power, row cooling, aisle containment, monitoring and control technologies, optimising infrastructure deployment and management, the company said.
 
The facility also contains other Emerson Network Power solutions, including the Liebert APM, a compact row-based uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solution, and the Liebert CRV, which provides high capacity cooling in a small footprint.
