Sourcefire's ‘Chalk Talks’ educational cyber-security videos

SECURITY solutions vendor Sourcefire Inc has announced its Chalk Talks collection of cyber-security videos for IT practitioners and the general public.
 
The ongoing series will provide viewers with deeper knowledge of essential cyber-security topics, initially focusing on malware and network security, the company said in a statement.
 
According to Sourcefire Malaysia country manager Ivan Wen (pic), a gulf has developed between cyber-security threats, which are increasing in sophistication, and the general public's perception of these threats.
 
“For this reason, Sourcefire developed Chalk Talks as a resource to bolster broader understanding of network security, malware and endpoint security, and cyber-security in general,” he said.
 
Introductory topics for the conversational “chalk talk” style videos include the fundamentals of network security technologies such as firewalls and intrusion prevention, malware behavior and protection techniques and “case-study” looks at prominent malware and advanced persistent threats. 
 
New content will be added regularly to expose viewers to an even wider variety of cyber-security material, Sourcefire said.
