- Larger model comes with a powerful Nvidia graphics card
PORTABILITY is the name of the game these days and Acer Malaysia recently unveiled two portable solutions that it hopes will be a hit among users who are constantly on the go.
The portable Acer Spin 5 is described as a flexible all-rounder that is sturdy yet highly flexible thanks to its dual-torque hinge. The new Spin 5 is built thinner than its previous model by 21% for the 13.3-inch while the 15.6-inch model is 17.9mm thin.
Sporting a sleek body with eye-catching metal design, it can convert between four useful modes: laptop, tablet, display and tent. The Spin 5 is built for everyday long-hour use and is said to last up to 10 hours on a single charge.
Powered by the new 8th generation Intel Core processor with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM it is suited for all manner of tasks from work right down to entertainment.
Coming in two sizes: 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch, both models come in full HD resolution with a high-brightness LED-backlit TFT LCD with integrated multi-touch. The laptop even supports the optional Acer Active Stylus that works through Windows Ink.
In addition, the 15.6-inch model offers a discrete Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 option for those who demand better speed and power from their graphics cards.
Acer’s TrueHarmony technology and two built-in front facing speakers are strategically positioned so that you are the centre of a surround-sound experience.
Acer’s Spin 5 is priced from RM3,599 to RM4,999 and will be available by mid-November 2017.
