Xiaomi launches its newest smartphones in Indonesia

XIAOMI launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro and Mi 8 Lite along with its new ecosystem products, Mi Band 3 and Mi Home Security Camera 360o 1080P in Indonesia.
Xiaomi Indonesia country manager Steven Shi said that the Mi Community in Indonesia reached approximately 989,760 members, making it the fastest growth market among other countries.
“We are delighted to be bringing Redmi Note 6 Pro and Mi 8 Lite to Indonesia, as it is an important milestone for us to launch the Mi 8 Series with its flagship features.”
Mi 8 Lite
The Mi 8 Lite offers a 24MP flagship front camera that captures more details. The Sony IMX576 sensor utilises 4-in-1 1.8μm Super Pixel technology allowing bright selfies even in low-light conditions.
The camera system is paired with Xiaomi’s advanced AI features including AI portrait mode for bokeh effects and a new AI makeup option.
For its rear, it features 12MP + 5MP AI dual cameras, with a Sony IMX363 primary sensor and a Samsung secondary sensor.
The 12MP main sensor utilises 1.4μm large pixels to capture shots with more light and less noise along with Dual Pixel Autofocus technology for faster focusing speed. It also offers enhanced AI features such as AI studio lighting, AI dynamic bokeh, AI portrait mode, and AI scene detection.
Mi 8 Lite has a 7.5 mm curved glass body with 6.26-inch FHD+ LCD screen and 19:9 full screen display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The glass back employs an advanced NCVM color process, resulting in a mirror-like gradient finish.
Mi 8 Lite is powered by the Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 660 octa-core SoC with Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE) designed for high performance and power efficiency.
It is also equipped with 3350mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and features AI face unlock and rear fingerprint sensor .
Mi 8 Lite will be available in Aurora Blue and Midnight Black, in 4GB + 64GB for 3,699,000 rupiah (US$251). The device is now available from Authorised Mi Store, Mi.com, Lazada, Blibli.com, JD.ID, and Akulaku.
Redmi Note 6 Pro
The Redmi Note 6 Pro is the first Xiaomi smartphone to features dual camera modules on the front and rear.
Its front 20MP + 2MP dual camera is equipped with 1.8µm Super Pixel technology. Its 12MP + 5MP rear dual cameras are updated with AI functions such as AI scene detection, AI portrait mode, and AI Dynamic bokeh and also has Dual Pixel autofocus.
Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 636 SoC that is built using a 14nm process. Users will experience fast performance whether they are editing a large spreadsheet or playing performance-intensive games, supported by SoC’s Qualcomm KryoTM 260 cores, 1.8GHz maximum clock speed, and the Qualcomm AdrenoTM 509 GPU.
It’s full screen display measures 6.26-inch diagonally with a FHD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. Together with the 500-nit maximum brightness and 1500:1 contrast ratio, it delivers stunning visuals for watching videos or playing games. The LCD screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with 2.5D curved corners. It also comes with 4000mAh battery capacity.
Redmi Note 6 Pro comes in Black, Blue, and Rose Gold. Available in two versions, 3GB+32GB for 2,899,000 rupiah (US$197) and 4GB+64GB for 3,299,000 rupiah (US$224)
It is available exclusively on Authorised Mi Store, Mi.com, and Shopee.
Mi Band 3
With a 0.78-inch OLED display, the Mi Band 3 is able to display the contents of notifications from smartphones, with additional information such as time, date, and steps count.
It also includes 50m water resistance, a built-in stopwatch, phone locating function, and independent vibrating alarm function.
The product is available via Mi.com, Lazada, and Authorised Mi Store at 499,000 rupiah (US$34).
Mi Home Security Camera 360o 1080P
The Mi Home Security Camera 360o 1080P is equipped with night vision, intelligent motion detection, and real-time two-way talk. It also can record and playback moments in high quality graphics, and comes with two types of storage options, MicroSD cards (up to 64GB) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices.
It is available at Authorised Mi Store, Mi.com, and Lazada for 599,000 rupiah (US$40).
