Catcha Digital Appoints Eric Tan as Group CEO

• Responsible for driving organic growth & expansion opportunities
• Former Chief of Staff, Catcha Group & co-founder of startup Instahome

The board of Catcha Digital Bhd has appointment Eric Tan Leong Yit (pic) as Group CEO, effective 2 Jan 2023. Eric shall be responsible for driving organic growth and expansion opportunities, and value- adding mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

According to Catcha Digital, Eric has a wealth of experience across many aspects of the digital industry. He previously served as Chief of Staff at leading internet group, Catcha Group, where he was leading sourcing and execution for multiple strategic investments and M&A.

Eric was also previously the CEO and co-founder of Instahome, a Malaysian home rental platform launched in late 2020 with funding from Catcha Group and co-founder of VIP Live, an Indonesian live-streaming app. Before that, he also served as the Head of Southeast Asia at London-based mobile app analytics company, Reflection.io.

“Eric brings a strong business vision to take the company on the next stage of its journey, with a desire to bring a high growth mindset and excellence of execution to the business. As Southeast Asia’s digital economy closes in on becoming a US$200 billion (RM880.8 billion) market in 2022, with continuing 20% annual growth through 2025, we believe Eric is the right person to lead Catcha Digital as we ride this wave,” said Larry Gan, its chairman.
