CompareAsia Group brings on board senior Visa executive

• Prashant Aggarwal appointed chief commercial officer
• Comes just a week after Sam Allen appointed CEO

 
MALAYSIAN-founded but Hong Kong-headquartered CompareAsia Group said it has appointed Prashant Aggarwal (pic above) as chief commercial officer (CCO).
 
He joins the executive team from Visa where he was head of Commercial Products for the region, CompareAsia said in a statement. He was also formerly at American Express.
 
The appointment comes just one week after CompareAsiaGroup announced the appointment of former KKR executive Sam Allen as chief executive officer.
 
“CompareAsiaGroup has grown revenue 10 times since its Series A funding round and I am delighted to have a world-class executive such as Prashant joining the senior management team to help us continue this impressive growth trajectory,” said Allen.
 
CompareAsia operates comparison platform sites in eight markets for personal financial services, banking, insurance and telco products, including credit cards, loans, broadband, health and car insurance.
 
“Digital technologies are changing the way people make decisions about their finances in Asia,” said Prashant.
 
“As an industry veteran, it is clear to me that CompareAsia offers new and valuable solutions and is the market leader across the region,” he added.
