GE Malaysia appoints Mark Rozario as new CEO

GENERAL Electric (GE) Malaysia on July 25 announced the appointment of Mark Rozario (pic) as its chief executive officer with effect from Aug 7, 2017.
In his role as CEO of GE Malaysia, Rozario will oversee the overall business portfolio of GE’s operations in Malaysia and will be responsible for leading and implementing GE Malaysia’s strategic corporate objectives in the country.
Rozario brings to GE Malaysia his diverse industry experience amassed throughout his career guiding the success of organisations with his proven leadership and innovative qualities.
Most recently, he served as the chief executive officer of Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (AIM), a government statutory body chaired by Malaysia’s Prime Minister and tasked to implement a national strategy to nurture and catalyse innovation.
In his role as AIM’s CEO since 2011, Rozario has successfully spearheaded the development and roll-out of the agency’s integrated and comprehensive approach to create an “Innovation Ecosystem” for Malaysia, through programmes that catalyse the development of long-term holistic societal well-being and for driving the national innovation agenda to generate new-wave wealth.
Prior to his role at AIM, Rozario was the group managing director of a Malaysian listed property group. He has a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
GE’s footprint in Malaysia dates back to 1975 with a sales and service centre. Today, GE has over 1300 employees in the country and made over RM1 billion in investments which contributes to the nation’s sustainable development and prosperity, investing in its future with advanced technology solutions and services as a trusted and committed local partner.
