Telin Singapore opens the Telin-3 data centre

TELIN Singapore, a wholly owned subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TelkomGroup), today officially opened its third data centre branded as Telin-3, located at the Singapore Data Centre Park (DCP) in Jurong.
Indonesian Minister of State Owned Enterprises Rini M Soemarno and Singapore Minister of State for Communications and Information Dr Janil Puthucheary jointly officiated the opening of the Telin-3 data centre on Nov 22.
Telin-3 is designed as a future-ready premium data centre and has received the Uptime Institute’s (UTI) Tier-IV design certification, enabling it to meet the risks, safety and data security industry guidelines required by various industry verticals.
Beside Tier-IV design certification, Telin-3 has recently achieved Tier-III Constructed Facility certification from UTI, the global data centre institution. This certification ensure that Telin-3 meets the highest standard of mission critical data centre service and reliability.
Telin-3 is a five-storey 20,000-square-metre purpose-built data centre, adopting a multi-tier design. This design feature provides flexibility and modularity to customers, enabling them to select from a variety of tier ratings based on their business requirements.
Telin-3 is amongst TelkomGroup’s world-class data centres, many of which operate in Indonesia.
Telkom currently has 100.000 m2 data centres in Indonesia, consisting of tier III data centres located in Serpong (BSD) Tangerang, Sentul–West Java and Surabaya–East Java; a tier IV data centre in Jatinegara, Jakarta; and a star data centre in many locations in Jakarta.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, TelkomGroup group CEO Alex J Sinaga commented: “This is a significant milestone for TelkomGroup as the completion of Telin-3 is a solid step forward in the journey of TelkomGroup’s vision to be the king of digital in the region. We believe this investment will boost our capability to provide services to customers across their digital business environment in Singapore, regionally and globally.

Telin-3 as a carrier neutral data centre is the first software-defined data centre in the Asia Pacific that is built with VMWare Validated Design. This design will enable Telin Singapore to deliver holistic data centre solutions that span across compute, storage, networking and service management.
Telin-3 is able to offer a complete ecosystem of both private and public cloud system and platform to meet the growing demand for digital business environment in Singapore, and in regional and global markets. systems.
