Avaya tweaks Asia Pacific management team

- Lee Chong-Win to take over his role as managing director for Asean region
BUSINESS communications and collaboration solutions provider Avaya has announced two new executive appointments in its Asia Pacific management team.
Ray Teske (pic) will lead its Service Provider and Global Alliances business across the region, working predominantly with Asia Pacific service providers to bring cloud-based communication capabilities and solutions to businesses here.
This includes unified communications, contact center, video and networking solutions ‘as a service,’ the company said in a statement.
Teske has over 20 years of experience in the communications industry across enterprise, service provider and channel focused roles, and was most recently managing director for the Asean business at Avaya.
In the other appointment, Lee Chong-Win (pic) will take over the role just vacated by Teske as the new Asean managing director for Avaya.
Lee will be responsible for continuing to drive growth in this market, with a focus on the core countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam, while growing Avaya’s business and presence in Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.
He most recently led the Customer Experience Management business for Avaya in Asia Pacific. He also brings extensive communications industry experience from previous leadership roles at Nortel, EMC and Periphonics, spanning sales, professional services and engineering disciplines, Avaya said.
These appointments are effective immediately. Teske and Lee continue to be based in Bangkok and Singapore respectively.
