Juniper Networks appoints Hansjoerg Wagner to lead APAC biz

• Wagner tasked with leading business activities across Asia Pacific
• Reports to executive vice president, worldwide sales, Vince Molinaro

JUNIPER Networks has announced the appointment of Hansjoerg Wagner (pic) as senior vice president, Asia Pacific (APAC), based in Singapore.

In his new role, Wagner will be responsible for all aspects of Juniper’s business activities across the Asia Pacific region, including customer engagement, sales development, training and enablement, strategic planning and revenue growth. He will report to Vince Molinaro, executive vice president, worldwide sales.

Wagner succeeds Douglas Murray, who spent more than two years as senior vice president, APAC, and will return to the United States as a member of Juniper’s Customer Leadership Team, reporting to Molinaro.

Commenting on the appointments, Molinaro said that it helps position Juniper for the next evolution of growth as the networking solutions company continues to lead the charge building the best networks for its customers. He noted that with the world’s largest population, APAC is a dramatically diverse region with tremendous growth potential.

“Hansjoerg’s depth of passion for delivering customer and partner value and growth, combined with his deep domain expertise, will be invaluable to capitalising on this opportunity.

"And Doug’s exceptional leadership, whose passion and commitment advanced our APAC business, will continue to represent the voice of our customers and focus on delivering a remarkable customer experience,” Molinaro said.

Wagner brings more than 20 years’ experience in field execution, in both service provider and enterprise industries, to his role. He was most recently at Polycom where he held several senior leadership roles, including president, APAC, and senior vice president, global field operations.
 
His responsibilities encompassed providing strategic direction for all Polycom operations in APAC as well as other emerging markets. Prior to joining Polycom in May 2006, Hansjoerg served as managing director of Packeteer Asia Pacific (now BlueCoat).
