SHENZEN-based TCL Communication Technology Holdings Ltd has opened its first concept store for its Alcatel OneTouch brand of smartphones in Malaysia, located on the ground floor of Low Yat Plaza in Kuala Lumpur.
The company described the concept store as a milestone for the brand since its return to Malaysia in early 2013.
Alcatel OneTouch stands for simplicity, colour, and accessibility, the company said in a statement, adding that the concept store reflects its vision and mission to design smartphones at a smart price “that are as easy to use as they are to choose.”
“We are proud to finally have our very own concept store in Malaysia,” said K.L. Kong, country manager of TCT Mobile Malaysia.
“With the highly competitive smartphone market, it is imperative that the Alcatel OneTouch brand has more visibility with a dedicated store to help raise awareness.
“We are confident that the new store’s success will help us further strengthen our brand as we continue to provide the industry with new products,” he added.
The Alcatel OneTouch concept store will showcase all current phone models that have recently been introduced to the Malaysian market, as well as highlight up-and-coming models.
By the end of 2014, TCL Communication Technology aims to have a total of six concept stores and appoint 20 authorised service centres nationwide.
