SurePay POS is a payment and collection solution that allows businesses to accept cash, debit and credit card payments. SurePay POS and SurePay are two types of solutions available under the payment and collection cluster of TM’s recently launched Shop in A Box solution, the telco said in a statement.
Enabled by TM’s broadband connectivity, both SurePay POS and SurePay use the company’s Online Payment System (TM Electronic Payment Gateway) and Mobile System Payment.
SurePay enables businesses to receive payment through online channels either via credit or debit card using a mobile dongle, while SurePay POS uses a POS terminal that also allows businesses to accept cash, debit and credit card payments.
SurePay POS is made possible by a partnership between TM and Ebizu Sdn Bhd.
“This incentive is part of the collaboration between TM and [MDeC] Malaysia and has added yet another pulling factor for our ongoing on-ground events to introduce Shop in a Box especially to small businesses nationwide,” said Khaidhir Elias, vice president of sales at TM’s SME and Consumer unit.
“With the announcement, all new subscriptions of SurePay POS between now until Dec 31 are eligible to enjoy the RM750 incentive on a reimbursement basis,” he added.
The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of cloud computing solutions among local SMEs (small and medium enterprises).
The move is also in line with Digital Malaysia’s strategic goal of increasing the productivity of Malaysian SMEs, with a target of benefiting 100,000 by 2020.
Digital Malaysia is a national programme that seeks to transform the country into a fully developed digital economy by 2020. MDeC is the lead agency overseeing the programme.
“The Digital Malaysia Cloud Computing incentive is a perfect companion to SurePay POS, since businesses can now opt to use a modern tablet-based POS solution that is GST-ready, instead of a traditional POS system,” said Ebizu chief executive officer Gerard Lim, referring to the rollout of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) next April.
“They can use the RM750 incentive to pay for their monthly subscriptions in the first few months,” he added.
Below are the SurePay POS package offerings:
To participate and enjoy the incentive, business owners just need to register for the SurePay POS package at any TMpoint outlet nationwide.
