- Offers big FullView display as well as large internal storage
- High megapixel dual camera system and front camera for photography enthusiasts
HUAWEI has introduced its latest value for money smartphone dubbed the Nova 3E, which in some markets is dubbed the P20 Lite.
Priced at just US$351 (RM1,399), this mid-range smartphone shares many characteristics of its higher-end brethren. This includes a large 5.84-inch Full HD+ (2,280 x 1,080) FullView Display with a 19:9 screen-to-body ratio for an immersive viewing experience.
Taking inspiration from other high-end smartphones, it sports notch on the top though you have the option to hide it if it is not to your liking. Clearing the way for the screen in front, the fingerprint sensor is placed on the back.
The Nova 3E takes colours to the next level with four distinct colours including Midnight Black, Platinum Gold, Sakura Pink and Klein Blue.
Unlike the P20, the Nova 3E sports a HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset that is paired with 4GB of RAM and roomy 128GB of internal storage. Even with so much storage, Huawei has included a microSD card slot for even further memory expansion.
The Nova 3E will run on Huawei’s EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo, that is said to be optimised for speed and performance. It also includes multitasking features such as a floating navigation dock, smart split screen and gaming assistant to block out communications during intense gaming sessions.
Apart from that, the Nova 3E’s 3,000mAh battery enjoys high-speed charging that Huawei says will recharge the phone quickly while maximising its stamina.
Other features include dual Bluetooth that enables the Nova 3E to connect with multiple devices like a smartband for recording workout data together with a wireless headset to listen to music.
Huawei is sparing no expense for the Nova 3E’s camera system either, opting for a dual-camera system consisting of a 16-Megapixel primary camera that features a pixel size of 1.12um and an aperture of f/2.2 for capturing more light. It is paired with a 2-Megapixel secondary camera that enables the camera to simulate capturing photos with ‘bokeh’ or blurred backgrounds.
Not letting up on its renowned selfie game, the Nova 3E has a 16-Megapixel front-facing camera that also shoots silky smooth ‘bokeh’ portraits on top allowing the phone to perform face unlock.
Malaysians won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the Nova 3E as the smartphone hits stores from May 25 onwards.
For a limited time from May 18 to 31 Huawei is offering a cashback deal of RM79 that brings the price down to RM1,320 and each purchase will be bundled with a Huawei Tripod Selfie Stick while stocks last.
