AS someone who is inundated with far too many Zoom calls and webinars, the importance of a good pair of headsets in beefing up productivity can't be overemphasised.
If anything, Malaysians in the same situation can now look forward to the newly-announced Jabra Evolve2 30 headset.
The Jabra Evolve2 30 is a unified communications (UC) headset, which is said to be “professional grade products” that provide a consistent unified user interface and user experience across multiple devices and media types.
A typical UC platform is Microsoft Teams, which operates as a hub for team collaboration, integrating the people, content, and tools the team needs to be more engaged and effective. The Evolve2 30 is said to be one such tool, as it is engineered with collaboration and comfortable productivity in mind, Jabra said in a statement.
To start with, the headet features two-microphone call technology, which helps clearly capture voice during calls and online meetings. It features 28mm speakers and an advanced digital chipset, which it said ensures better audio quality for both calls and media playback.
The Evolve2 30 is also available in a Microsoft Teams certified variant, which comes with a dedicated Microsoft Teams button for users to jump in and out of virtual meetings with just one touch. A boom arm meanwhile allows users to easily mute and unmute themselves in an instant.
The Jabra Evolve2 30 also meets the Microsoft Open Office requirements, which is a strict test of how effective a headset microphone is at suppressing surrounding noise and office talk, Jabra said.
Addtionnally, It has a plug-and-play feature, allowing users to seamlessly connect to all devices via USB-A or –C plug.
As for the construct of the headset, the Evolve2 30 features soft memory, oval ear cushions and angled earcup design for all-day comfort and is developed to block out noise and disturbances in the surrounding, Jabra said.
The headset has a single-side busylight, which turns on automatically when on call or can be turned on manually as a 'do not disturb' sign.
“Raising productivity levels is an ongoing uphill battle for every organisation,” said Gladys Kong, country manager for enterprise, Malaysia & Brunei at Jabra.
“We are excited to be rolling out our latest product aimed at battling productivity distractions for those in the office, but also the flexible workers.”
“We’ve designed the Jabra Evolve2 30 to be at an affordable price-point so every user can enjoy the benefits of experiencing premium collaboration, concentration and comfort while working,” she said.
“The Jabra Evolve2 30 truly embodies the motto that work is no longer somewhere you go, but something you do.”
The Jabra Evolve2 30 comes in two variants – a stereo version, priced at US$133 (RM550); and a MONO version, which goes for US$116 (RM480).
