FoodPanda Malaysia now delivers for Secret Recipe, Beyond Veggie

• Expected to increase sales at selected outlets by 3-5%
• FoodPanda Malaysia now has 610 restaurants for its service

ROCKET Internet portfolio company FoodPanda Malaysia said it has recently been appointed the food delivery service provider for Secret Recipe Cakes & Café Sdn Bhd for selected Secret Recipe cafes and Beyond Veggie outlets in the Klang Valley.
 
Secret Recipe Cakes & Café currently has a total of 120 Secret Recipe cafes and 12 Beyond Veggie outlets in the Klang Valley, FoodPanda Malaysia said in a statement.
 
According to Jamie Fong, senior brand manager of the Secret Recipe F&B Group, the outsourcing of its food delivery service to FoodPanda Malaysia is expected to increase sales at the selected cafes and outlets by at least 3% to 5%.
 
“With foodpanda.my, customers [also get] the further convenience of ordering food via its mobile app, and the food delivery charges is also made very affordable at only RM6 per delivery,” she added.
 
FoodPanda Malaysia will also be able to deliver Secret Recipe or Beyond Veggie’s whole cakes with the food ordered.
 
With this latest collaboration, FoodPanda Malaysia said it now has 610 restaurants listed in its food ordering and delivery service. It is recruiting more riders to cope with the increasing demand for food delivery services.
 
According to its managing director Claudio Abitante, the demand for food delivery has doubled every six months since the start of the business.
 
“FoodPanda Malaysia not only delivers from major restaurants but also from smaller cafes and street food, so customers are given extensive options,” he added.
