- ‘Online Revolution’ from Nov 11 to Dec 12, special deals from Lazada, Zalora and Foodpanda
- Cross-platform deals with partners Yahoo!, Hitz.FM, GDex and Bcard loyalty programme
ROCKET Internet e-commerce companies Foodpanda, Lazada and Zalora have launched what they’re calling the ‘Online Revolution,’ styled after the United States’ Cyber Monday, the biggest online shopping day which takes place every Monday after Thanksgiving.
The Online Revolution will take place from Nov 11 to Dec 12, offering a month of special deals and discounts, as well as games on websites Lazada, Zalora and Foodpanda.
“Following the success of our 12-12-12 campaign last year, we decided to make a tradition and a movement out of it,” said Igor Pezzilli, chief executive officer of Lazada Malaysia.
“This year we have expanded the concept as well as our group of partners and thought of ways to excite shoppers. In short, the Online Revolution is set to change the old ways of shopping,” he added.
For Lazada, the Online Revolution consists of special deals and voting games. Every week, customers will be offered 111 great deals with discounts on everything from mobiles and tablets to fashion and home and living products.
Addition points will be given to Lazada shoppers who use their Bcard loyalty card, the e-commerce site said in a statement.
Also, every day 11 products will be offered on a special landing page sponsored by Hitz.FM. The products will be up for votes from 11am to 11pm. The next day at 11am, one lucky shopper will be able to purchase the top voted product for only RM11.
On the last day of the Online Revolution, Dec 12, the top 11 spenders of Lazada’s Online Revolution will win the 11 products that received the highest rating during the initiative.
Lazada has expanded its partners this year bringing in Yahoo! as media partner, Hitz.FM, GDex as the official logistics partner, and Bcard as the loyalty reward programme partner.
The Online Revolution is an integrated campaign on all partner’s platforms, Lazada said. When shoppers make purchases from its site, they will be rewarded with free food vouchers from Foodpanda and discounted shopping vouchers from Zalora, and vice versa.
Hitz.FM listeners will stand a chance to win Lazada cash vouchers and top picks of the week by tuning in and participating in contests or catching the Hitz.FM cruisers.
Meanwhile, Hypp TV and Telekom Malaysia customers will enjoy deals and vouchers exclusive to them.
Zalora will also offer exclusive discounts. On Nov 11, it will be offering 111-minute flash sales. The sale will start at 11am with a 15% storewide discount. In additional to this, starting Nov 11 Dec 10, Zalora will offer an extra 15% discount for Visa card holder and a 10% discount for non-Visa holders.
Visa holders will also receive RM25 Zalora Cashback for every purchase within the course of period.
“Last year we joined with other major e-commerce players for a combined one-day sale on 12.12.12, The Day of Awesome Deals,” said Zalora managing director Giulio Xiloyannis.
“The sale projected us into some months of very strong growth. With this month of sales, we are expecting even better results,” he added.
Foodpanda is giving out free delivery services for more than 300 restaurants on Nov 11 and Dec 12, including Starbucks, Chicken Rice Shop, Papa John's and Sakae Sushi, as well as free deliveries on other dates with select restaurants.
“This month, all your needs from skirts to laptops to pizza will be fulfilled with a simple click, and that is the Online Revolution,” said Claudio Abitante, Foodpanda Malaysia managing director.
