SINGAPORE-based lawyer finding service Lawr.co has officially launched its website www.lawr.co and announced its entry into India, coming in the wake of its acquisition of India-based legal portal Lawfarm in February.
Lawr.co’s focus is on matching lawyers with clients, who will have to initiate the process by first posting brief details about their case.
Lawfarm will continue with efforts to develop and expand a full-fledged legal portal, to provide users with a more intuitive experience, Lawr.co said in a statement.
“Lawr.co’s launch is a timely one in this digital age where users are increasingly turning to online and digital services for their needs,” said Lawr.co cofounder Jieyang Huang.
“The legal industry is ripe for digitisation, and one of the most challenging stages in the legal process for clients is the one right at the beginning – finding a lawyer they are comfortable with.
“Lawr.co aims to optimise this process, both for the lawyer and the client,” he added.
As part of Singaporean venture builder Sugar Ventures, Lawr.co has an established advisory board and many experienced technology leaders, it said.
As part of its launch campaign, Lawr.co services will be free-to-use for a limited period for all users in India.
