Edotco, a leading regional integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company, announced a significant milestone in its commitment to advancing Malaysia's digital landscape. In a major step forward for the nation's 5G vision, the company successfully enabled 500 of its existing 4G towers with 5G connectivity in 2023.

Since 2021, Edotco has played a crucial role in expanding 5G infrastructure in Malaysia, completing the largest number of 5G sites in the country. With the construction of 1,695 sites nationwide, the company has made a substantial contribution, highlighting its commitment and capability in supporting Malaysia’s 5G rollout. This achievement reflects its commitment to supporting the government's objective of achieving 80% 5G coverage in populated areas nationwide by year-end, through Digital Nasional Berhad.

The enablement of these 500 4G towers with 5G connectivity underscores Edotco’s focus on future-proofing its infrastructure, ensuring that the networks are ready to meet the evolving demands of next-generation technology. This milestone directly supports the Malaysian government's vision for broader 5G connectivity, facilitating increased access to high-speed internet, driving economic growth, and fostering innovation across the nation.
