CLOUD contact centre vendor NewVoiceMedia has appointed Glenn Aspden (pic), to the role of technical sales director for Asia Pacific, which the company said would strengthen its position in the region.
The new appointment follows the company’s recent announcement of Brett Waters as vice president of Asia Pacific, in line with its commitment to the region and overall expansion plans globally, it said in a statement.
Commenting on the appointment, Waters said: “Glenn [Aspden]’s appointment to this newly created role reflects NewVoiceMedia’s significant growth and further demonstrates our on-going commitment to providing customers and prospects in the region with the best possible support.”
“His extensive knowledge of cloud contact centre technology will be put to very good use and he will play a vital role in driving expansion in one of our highest growth regions,” he added.
Aspden boasts 18 years of business solutions management experience, most recently serving as operations manager at National Australia Bank (NAB) where he managed contact centre technology for its 3,000-seat virtual contact centre.
Prior to that, he held senior positions at a number of contact centre vendor and telecommunications businesses including Stellar, Excelior and Telstra.
"I’m very pleased to be joining NewVoiceMedia at this exciting time in the company's growth and am looking forward to building on recent successes and momentum,” said Aspden.
According to industry analyst DMG Research, NewVoiceMedia is growing at more than twice the rate of the rapidly expanding cloud contact centre market, and has doubled the number of staff in the last year to meet the increased demand for its technology.
