DELL has refreshed its top-of-the-line range of Inspiron 7000 laptops with the new 8th generation Intel core processors while also announcing an update to its ultra-slim XPS 13 line coming next month.
Sporting a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display it has slim bezels to give you more screen real estate on a smaller body. Express your creativity with Dell’s Active Pen which allows you to take notes and sketch with ease.
Weighing just 1.45kg and measuring just 15.5mm thin, the new Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 is made for mobile multi-taskers and can be used in one of four different modes for both work and play.
It also carries Dell’s SmartByte streaming technology that Dell says prioritises streaming and conferencing over other network activities so as to deliver uninterrupted viewing of videos and video conferencing.
The new Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 can be configured up to an Intel Core i7, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB solid-state drive.
You also get Intel UHD graphics on the inside along with flexible connectivity options with USB Type-C that supports DisplayPort and power delivery.
It comes with a built-in infrared camera that Dell says works with Windows Hello for easy unlocking of your device and is better able to present a clearer video when conferencing in low-light conditions.
For those seeking a more traditional notebook experience, Dell has the Inspiron 15 7000. With a thin-bezel design that comes in either pink or silver, the Inspiron 15 7000 is not only stylish but offers a brilliant 15.6-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display.
Though the screen isn’t nearly as flexible as the Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1, the Inspiron 15 7000 is able to lay nearly flat at 180 degrees for use with the Active Pen accessory.
It even has a UHD option that covers 100% AdobeRGB for graphic designers and photographers.
The laptop also takes advantage of the latest 8th generation Intel processors, able to configure up to an Intel Core i7, 8GB of RAM and 256GB solid-state drive combined with a 1TB hard disk drive. Powering the graphics is a Nvidia GeForce 940MX graphics processing unit.
Lastly, there is the update to the XPS 13 with Intel’s 8th Generation processors that are said to offer up to 44% more performance compared to the previous generation.
Dell’s smallest 13.3-inch laptop boasts a stunning viewing experience with its optional Quad HD+ Infinity Edge Display. It will be available in October 2017.
Available now, the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 and Inspiron 15 7000 will retail at (US$1,398) RM5,899 and (US$1,304) RM5,499 for the highest specs version.
