Equinix appoints Cheam Tat Inn as managing director of Malaysia

• Will lead Equinix’s expansion and growth strategy in Malaysia
• IT industry veteran with over 30 years of leadership driving business growth

Equinix, Inc., the world’s digital infrastructure company, announced the appointment of Cheam Tat Inn (pix) as managing director, Equinix Malaysia, with immediate effect. 

In a statement, the company said Cheam will lead Equinix’s expansion and growth strategy in Malaysia, including the recently announced KL1 and JH1 International Business Exchange^® (IBX^®) data centers in Kuala Lumpur and Johor respectively. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Cheam reports to Jeremy Deutsch, president, Equinix Asia-Pacific.

Cheam is an IT industry veteran with over three decades of experience in driving business growth and has held key leadership roles at leading technology companies, including SAS, The Center of Applied Data Science (CADS), EMC, Sun Microsystems, Nortel Networks, and Compaq Computers.  

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Business School, UK.
