Dell appoints two new senior execs for Malaysia, Singapore

DELL has appointed two senior executives to key sales leadership roles for Malaysia and Singapore. Marketing veteran Chue Chee Wei was named managing director for the company’s Commercial Business Group for Malaysia and Singapore, while Khoo Teng Guan brings 15 years of experience in Dell to his new role as general manager for consumer business in Malaysia.
Chue (pic) is assuming responsibility for leading the direct and channel sales team, driving growth across the company’s solutions portfolio for consumers and enterprise customers, Dell said in a statement.
Effective Aug 1, Khoo leads Dell’s consumer team responsible for sales to retail partners, over the phone and via Dell’s e-commerce platform in Malaysia.
“The dynamic and vibrant market in Malaysia presents a multitude of opportunities and strong demand for innovative IT solutions,” said Ng Tian Beng, Dell’s vice president and managing director for South Asia and Korea.
“Chee Wei and Teng Guan collectively bring extensive experience and deep customer insights to their respective roles. They have delivered strong results for our customers, and for Dell, and we are extremely pleased to have them lead the team,” he added.
Chue brings 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Since joining Dell in 1997, he has contributed in various local and regional sales and marketing roles.
He was most recently the executive director for marketing in Dell South Asia and Korea, and before that, led the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) sales team responsible for Dell’s Global 500 (G500) customers.
Chue is based at the company’s regional headquarters in Singapore and will report to Ng.
Khoo (pic) has been with Dell since 1997 and held various regional management roles in sales, marketing and business development for the Enterprise, Software & Peripherals, Mobility and Services business based in the United States, China, India and Malaysia.
Before his current role, he was general manager for Services & Solutions, overseeing IT services, support and business solutions for customers in South Asia and Korea.
He is based at the Dell Global Business Center in Cyberjaya and will report to Chue.
