Transition launches Agile to bring F5 products to SEA growth markets

TRANSITION Systems, a value-added distributor of networking products and services in South-East Asia, has announced what it described as ‘a new level of commitment’ for its partnership with F5 Networks by launching Agile Distribution.

Headquartered in Singapore, Agile Distribution would deliver F5’s Application Delivery Networking (ADN) solution to customers in South-East Asia, Transition Systems said in a statement issued by F5 Networks.

Agile Distribution would bring better value and provide more focused resources, support, and enablement services to both its channel partners and their customers. Agile Distribution Thailand and Singapore will be spearheaded by general managers Wanrattika Ditcharoen and Tricia Yeo respectively.

“For the past years, we have already seen great success from our partnership with F5 Networks,” said Jonathan Juay, group managing director of the Transition Systems Group.

“We have now formed Agile Distribution to further expand this relationship with a dedicated team to prepare for the next phase of growth.

“Setting up Agile Distribution shows our commitment as we will have a team fully focused on supporting the growth of the F5 Networks business in the region by providing value added services to our channel partners and their customers,” he added.

According to an industry survey, the majority of applications are accessed via the Web. Mobiles have introduced a shift in the devices we use to access these applications, F5 Networks said.

According to Gartner, 2.7 billion mobile devices will be shipped in 2017 and 40% of the workforce will be mobile.

Meanwhile, the cloud is changing the way applications are developed and deployed.

Therefore, a big challenge for many companies and governments alike is to facilitate the transition of their heritage IT setup from a network- to an application-centric architecture to ensure secure business operations, reduction of upfront costs, simplified deployment as well as management and maintenance, F5 Networks said.

Agile Distribution was set up to address this trend in delivering F5’s ADN solutions to businesses across South-East Asia. Starting in Singapore and Thailand, Agile will shortly also start operations in Indonesia and the Philippines.

With F5’s recently launched New Synthesis Architectural Vision, Agile Distribution will be able to offer featured elements that have been specifically designed to resonate within F5’s partner ecosystem and help customers build a high performance fabric to deploy application services, the companies claimed.

“Agile’s partnership with F5 Networks comes at a timely juncture with the launch of Synthesis Architectural Vision,” said Teong Eng Guan, regional vice president, Asean and Korea, F5 Networks.

“Synthesis changes the way we communicate and will also change the way we sell our solutions. The need to evolve is vital with the growing change in demographics influences on purchasing behaviours.

“We need to remain agile and flexible in order to meet tomorrow’s challenges,” Teong added.

Agile Distribution plans to offer F5’s complete range of market leading business and technology solutions to help organisations seamlessly scale cloud, data centre, and software defined networking (SDN) deployments to successfully deliver applications to anyone, anywhere, at any time, the companies said.
