500+ entrepreneurs expected at BFM Enterprise Breakaway 2012

• Successful dotcom celebrities to share their experience and lessons learned
• Speakers have ‘been there, done that,’ and are going to tell it all, says BFM boss

BUSINESS radio station BFM89.9 is hosting its Enterprise Breakaway 2012 conference tomorrow (Sept 28), with the theme “Real People, Real Stories, Real Results” targeted at small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
 
More than 500 delegates are expected to attend to hear from dotcom celebrities and successes such as Mark Chang of JobStreet.com (pic), T.S. Wong of MyEG and Joshua Rayan of Words Wizards Creative Communications at the Sime Darby Convention Center.
 
Other speakers include Tan Thiam Hock of Alliance Cosmetics, Chan-Low Kam Yoke of HELP University, Dr Nehemiah Lee Chee Hai of Nehemiah Reinforced Soil, and popular business coach Jeevan Sahadevan.
 
This is the second year running that BFM is holding its Enterprise Breakaway conference. BFM Media founder and managing director Malek Ali said he hopes to inspire entrepreneurs at all stages of the growth cycle.
 
“First-hand accounts of battles won and lost resonate with us all. As our speakers have ‘been there, done that,’ they’ve nothing more to prove. They can afford to be vulnerable and tell it all: The good, bad and ugly,” he said in a statement.
 
“Hearing others’ war stories gives ([SMEs] a chance to learn and perhaps, avoid repeating [their] mistakes. Hopefully, it gives them a head-start in the right direction when growing their own business,” he added.
 
The Enterprise Breakaway Sessions will address solutions to common SME problems; how to engineer growth; and branding one’s business. As last year’s participants voiced an interest in more interaction, this year’s conference will feature open floor discussions with speakers.
