Singapore's StitchMob, goes live with launch design contest

STITCHMOB announced its official launch and the start of its Launch Design contest to mark the event.

StitchMob is a tech platform that brings clothing ideas to life through a creator's market to design, produce, sell and discover the coolest, personalised kidswear.

Anyone with a creative streak - from an enthusiast to an experienced designer - can use StitchMob to pull together a unique clothing collection for little ones.

Through a pre-sale process, StitchMob serves as a marketplace where users come to submit their latest designs using the site’s easy-to-use design tool.

StitchMob offers unisex t-shirts, hoodies, leggings and girls' A-line Dresses for ages 3-12, made from super soft Pima cotton as the perfect blank canvas for designers to get creative.

After the initial design is complete, users can share their creations to attract and pre-sell to customers, using StitchMob’s free re-marketing efforts.

After selling 20 or more units, StitchMob pays the profit from each sale to the designer and then shepherds the products through production and fulfillment, including customer service.

An extensive sourcing network and unique production process equips StitchMob with the capability to produce an array of apparel in low quantities while ensuring quality, value for money and timely delivery.

In order to ensure maximum comfort for kids, all their products carry eco-friendly and non-toxic ISO140001 and OekoTex Standard 100 certifications.

StitchMob founder Sanjeev Menon (pic) said, “Our mission at StitchMob is to allow anyone to bring their ideas to life. There are few things worse to me than an idea that is not expressed. We are passionate about supporting the creativity of new designers, whether they're emerging brands or parents who want to create something special for their kid(s), their playgroup or extended family. With StitchMob, we've built an online marketplace that ensures a continuous supply of fresh and innovative products, where customers can find something new and exciting every time they log on”.

Alexis Fong, a budding designer and graduate of LaSalle College of Arts said, “I have pretty much an idea a day for a cool clothing design, but I really don’t want to go through the hassle of setting up a company and producing them myself. So this is perfect for me – I love how easy it is to create my own clothing now. “

Experienced or aspiring designers can submit a summer-themed design to the contest and win a S$1,000 cash prize. To enter, interested participants can click here and follow the simple three-step entry process of the contest. The contest runs from now till May 31.
