TradeGecko appoints new marketing VP as it opens new international markets

SINGAPORE-headquartered inventory and multichannel management startup TradeGecko has announced the appointment of Jaime Ng (pic above) as vice president of marketing.

She will lead global marketing initiatives while continuing to build the company’s brand as it moves into new countries and verticals, TradeGecko said in a statement.

She joins TradeGecko as it gears up for several corporate milestones, the company said. In May, it will be opening a new office in Toronto and is also establishing its presence in Melbourne, Australia to expand into the beer, wine and spirits vertical.

“Jaime [Ng] brings extensive experience driving business growth through strong digital marketing that will enable us to support our plans to open new offices in the North America and Australia,” said cofounder and chief executive officer Cameron Priest.

“We are excited to have her on board and leading our global marketing function,” he added.

Ng has more than 15 years of experience leading teams for some of the world’s most successful technology companies, TradeGecko said in its statement.

She spent half her career working out of the United States with TripAdvisor and MySpace, and was most recently director of market development at PurpleClick Media where she led campaigns for Facebook, Google and Yahoo.

Prior to that, she was global head of online proposition for element14, the producer of the Raspberry Pi computer.

“I am truly excited to join TradeGecko and work with such a highly talented team,” said Ng.

“I consider TradeGecko to be one of the very rare and truly amazing global startups being built out of Singapore.

“The fact that we have team members from over 19 nationalities speaks volumes about the kind of company we’re building,” she added.
