Millennial Media promotes Woolfrey to Asia Pacific MD

MOBILE advertising platform provider Millennial Media has promoted Robert Woolfrey (pic above) to managing director its Asia Pacific operations, which it said was part of iuts strategy to tap into Woolfrey's expertise to further grow its Asian business.

Woolfrey, who has been based in Asia since 2005, was previously the managing director of its South-East Asian operations.

According to the company's executive vice president of global sales and operations Mollie Spilman, Woolfrey played a key role in building the company's presence in South-East Asia.

"I'm very pleased to announce that Woolfrey will add high-growth markets such as Japan, Korea and India to his remit. With his keen insight into the digital advertising landscape, I am confident that the company will continue to grow from strength to strength under his leadership," Spilman said in a statement.

Millennial Media claims it has become a 'partner of choice' for agencies and developers in Asia over the last 24 months. Its clients include Buick, McDonald's, Procter & Gamble and Samsung.

"I'm grateful for this opportunity to spearhead Millennial Media's growth in the broader region ... . Over the past year, we have been steadily adding to our capabilities in order to serve our clients better," Woolfrey.
